Lately I’ve been doing a bit of pondering about my personal style. I’ve been trying to figure out what my clothes say about me. Sometimes I’m not too inspired myself, so I can’t imagine what my personal style says. Comfortable, tired, boring. Tomorrow I pick up a little parcel from the post office. I’ll be shipping too, which means there’s been a bit of income to balance off my latest shopping escapades. I found these Clarks biker boots at Zappos (Canada, no longer shipping to Canada) and fell in love.
I envision myself in a relaxed comfortable ensemble, running errands, or stretching little minds at work. Will my students think these are hiking boots, like my classic, perfectly worn in, 15 year old, Dr. Martens? Maybe. Oh well, I guess you can’t expect everyone to get it.
I love the variety of these looks. The bonus is that as much as I admire the women who can wear those stacked platforms, this is way more realistic for me. If I were to expand into higher heels I would need botox for my feet. I know these will find a place in my shoe wardrobe for years to come just like my hiking boots… I mean Dr. Martens.
